I tried just about every combinatation of settings I can find related to Edacs radio systems on my GRE 500 and I am still having problems with the radio reliable tracking a standard 18 channel Edacs radio system. About every 10th or so transmission the radio picks the wrong LCN or just cycles the data channel. My LCN list is correct.
I did an analyz on the data channel its sits around 98% I tried to att. the data channel no difference

Any ideas what i've done wrong or missed

Did you start your LCN list on one and not zero? Are you using software? How the heck do you do a analyze on the control channel? I'm just learning on my PSR500 too, but had no problem with Denver's EDACS system, and they just went ESK. Do you have any talkgroups programmed, and are you scanning the list the talkgroups are in?

I used ARC 500 and even did a manual configuration, no difference and I started at one. To Analyze a CC hit f2 below TSYS then f3 below Analyze then toggle down or up to the CC.
I have 33 talkgroups programed as groups and private. I found the same issue when I pause a talkgroup found on a Wildcard search.

I just imported in ARC500 the Edmonton Public Safety EDACS Standard and the only thing I see is the system came in with Multi Site set to ROAM. Double Click on ROAM and change it to OFF,save and reload to scanner. BTW, insure you have the System Type reset to EDACS Standard.

first a big Thank You for taking the time too download the Edmonton system in ARC500 then looking at it.
I did not import the EPS EDACS from RR I created from scratch.
I created the TSYS with roam mode off and Edacs standard. Reading the manual I found ROAM is not a function of EDACS and ignored. I started to play with the Dwell setting that appeared to have improved the reliablty.

I'm starting to think I don't have a problem. I put a Uniden 396T side by side with my GRE500. I found the 396 will miss transmissions completely. The GRE reacts differently, It try's anyways then selects the wrong LCN or cycles the control channel.
I did a test and found out of 100 transmissions the 396T missed 4 and so did the GRE by selecting the wrong LCN or cycled the control channel.

I will let you know as I progress.

It's bouncing between 96 ~ 99 % with Hsa
here is a snip-it of a CC dump when the radio goes wrong

I convinced looking the CC dump this the radio is not decoding the CC properly. I do see the odd CRC
Any ideas, anyone out there....

Could be incorrect LCN. Can't think of anything else.
I confirmed my LCN are ok, see my post with copies of my CC dumps. It's pretty clear what is happening.
I will call GRE tomorrow

I have some progress tonight, I started playing with the expert mode setting for Edacs. Its tracking much better. I do noticed a little squak at the begining of the transmission, i can live with that
