Edison PD programing.. HELP

ok i just got from the ups man today, a brown box with my, new to me, bc296d scanner. Now im used to programming everything but the digital. Im trying edison being they are the only ones in my area who use it until woodbridge gets going. I'm trying EVERYTHING and can;t still figure out how to get the edison pd frequencies programed.... HELP!!! PLEASE!!!

Follow the instructions to program a Motorola Type 2 UHF system. I'll caution you, though, that since Edison PD is encrypted you will not hear them even when you do have it programmed properly. You will be able to scan fire and EMS, plus municipal services and DPW.

something told me they were encrypted..... grrrrrr so digital will come for me when woodbridge township starts. Thanks for that tip...... encryption......i know why but..... WHY!!!!
