A few times now I have heard EPS say they are going over to simplex ( 1 or 2 ) when they are going out of town . I was wondering if any one knows the frequencies of the simplex channels they use? I also assume other agency's on the system would also have 1-2 simplex channels.

Thanks for your help.

If it is anything like E-comm system here, a number of simplex channels were programmed, for PFA (police fire ambulance,) most were from 851-855 Mhz, than a few were found simplex @ 866, if they haven't been posted here before your going to have to search those ranges assuming you are close to the units talking as they are low power.
866.2375, 866.2625
866.0125 853.2625, 853.5125,857.3875 Are in use in E-Comm

When I was getting static from Industry Canada for permission to get the 800 MHz interop channels (the nationwide ones), a couple years ago, I think they mentioned that Edmonton had licenses for a couple of them.
