EDSO Voice Inversion

Started picking up A LOT of what sounds like voice inversion traffic on El Dorado SO 2 159.96 this morning, still going right now.

Anyone know what's going on in El Dorado County?

I don't think its tactical due to the volume of traffic, I am still getting some traffic on 159.555 but it seems to be a lot less than normal. I hope they are not going encrypted on us.

There is a speech inversion decoder for soundcards out there somewhere. I think you can google invert.exe Pretty sure that's the file name.

More than likely, these are detectives or vice unit conducting an investigation or surveillance.

It is illegal to descramble these comms.

Due to federal and state/local deficits, I doubt this agency will be going digital and/or encrypted any day soon.

I am now thinking it may have been for this El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputies Searching For Missing Woman « CBS Sacramento but I have no idea why they would use voice inversion for it. The traffic was almost non stop for several hours.

They found her body today.

I think you answered your own question!

They went to encryption 'cause they did not want a lot of "interference" from local press / media / or public. They probably either found her body or had a hot lead that they did not want to divulge quite yet... so went to encryption.
