Migrated to the NextGen system.

As of last night, La Mesa was still old system. Doubt THAT will last long.

TY all I found info on the new talkgroup ID being 2222 My question is do i need to convert my EZ Scan list or can i just input the new ID

Those are the working ID's They have already been converted and known to work.

ok ive got my friends TRX1 programmed with RCS South cell phase 1 and phase 2 ID 2222 for ECPD dispatch no traffic
Ive got my TRX1 programmed south cell simulcast, I have traffic but very garbled
What am I missing

Your friends radio is on the wrong system if I understand your config of it. It needs to be changed to the Next Gen system. I think yours is correct because there is no South simulcast on RCS so I'm assuming it is on Next Gen. It is garbled because that is what simulcast does to most non-SDS scanners.

The transmitter antenna patterns for NextGen are different than the old RCS. I’ve had to use a yagi or 800 MHz back of scanner antenna to get decent reception of NextGen, at least on my Uniden and Whistler. The Unication, on the other hand, works great with just its stubby antenna and has no simulcast problems on NextGen.

I hear El Cajon PD fine with the SDS100 with the standard duck antenna loud and clear.

I hear Nextgen El Cajon loud and clear (what passes for clear in old Unidens!) with an old 996XT...the 996XT apparently LOVES LSM Nextgen and SD 700 when attached to a low band CHP antenna...go figure. :-\
