Here's what happened. The first call I heard today was about 3pm. The fire dept was called by a woman who had been "accidentally" shot in the hand. They stated it was violence and staging was required. Next they stated the shooter was her husband, and he was upstairs while she was down on the phone to get help.

I know she made it to Marshall Hospital. Next ED SO set up a perimeter and started bringing in lots of people and stuff. They evacuated the area. Then made announcements every 5 minutes for the guy to come out. He hasn't. For the past several minutes they've been working on sending a robot in (9pm).

Thanks gmclam for the info and update...seems this is still an issue as of 0000. EDSO has made partial entry, but no suspect in custody as of yet. Things are definitely slow going.

I listened all night. About 0000 they had some officers from Sacramento county come and releive officers. I heard they set off some kind of gas inside the house. Then they got a large fan from the fire dept to air the place out (this was near daybreak). The channel is quiet now so it seems to have "ended". But I never heard them getting the guy out. Hopefully someone here can fill in the rest of the details.

Man Arrested In SWAT Standoff In Cameron Park

(CBS13) CAMERON PARK, Calif. A fight between a man and his wife turned into a stand-off in Cameron Park Thursday night.

Deputies say the man shot his wife in the hand and that's when the police responded to the house at Meder and Carousel Lane.

The man refused to come out, even as SWAT teams surrounded the house.

They eventually took him into custody.

He's now at the Sacramento County jail.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BARRICADED SUBJECT IN RESIDENCE. SWAT TEAM DEPLOYED
On Thursday, February 8th at 4:30 P.M. El Dorado County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a 911 call from a female stating that her husband had shot her in the hand, believed to be the result of an argument. The woman was able to escape from the house, located at 3044 Braemer Rd. in Cameron Park, and call for help.
Patrol deputies responded and attempted to make contact with the male suspect, but were not able to do so. A perimeter was established around the residence and Sheriff’s SWAT TEAM was then deployed.
Many attempts were made to get the male suspect out of the house.
57 year old Shawnee Hannah would not respond to telephone calls, a “throw phone” and continuous requests over the loud speaker. A robot from the Sheriff’s EOD was deployed in an effort to locate and isolate Hannah. Soon chemical munitions (were introduced into the residence. At 3:30 A.M. on Friday the 9th, Hannah finally came out of the residence, where he was taken into custody by an arrest team.
Shawnee L. Hannah was taken to into custody and booked for 246.3 P.C. Which is the illegal discharge of a firearm from or into a residence.
