electrical tape for outside connections

a good wrap job on a connector should look like a snake has swallowed a rat - nice smooth transition from the coax or hardline, up to a nice fat middle and then back down again. I've seen some very pretty ones over the years. Also seem some real horrorshows.

That sounds great. My co-worker just remarked, "If it's that hard to remove, it must be pretty good stuff."

Yes, I learned this whilst dismantling my antennas and moving from FL after the 2004 hurricanes. Had to use a razor knife to get to my connectors and I think I even made up a few new words during this process. I am double-wrapped and sealed on all outside connections here in Ohio. We do live and learn. I did take a shortcut, tho, and used common black electrical tape for my bottom layer(s).

Super 88 or super 33 tape for sure. 33 is the same stuff just not as thick. Stuff lasts forever.
