TG 2564 came active on the deployable trunked system. I heard Phoenix FD Squad 44 (heavy rescue, aka Ghost Squad) clearing.

Maybe the Mesa system changed frequencies to align itself with the Fed? If they are using 3F1, and then were on TG 2564, which isn't all that far off from 2573, that would be my guess - or there is a national standard set for TGID and SYSID we aren't aware of?

I was in Scottsdale most of the day, got some traffic on G Deck, but wasn't able to get much else from my location - it's not in a good spot.

700 Mhz is very likely NOT Federal,
yes...
they list it in the NIFOG as a reference for the Part 90 [Non Federal] users on what is suggested for an Emergency Deployable TRS.

Federal are NTIA, not FCC and those frequencies would generally be in the 162-174 and 400-420 bands

What I meant by that is, maybe they aligned with the Federally listed, as outlined in many documents, national plan. We know 700mhz isn't actually federal.

some folks may know, but based on PM's and emails to me directly, Not everyone knows.
With the word Federal and Federally much does get lost in the translations

Might be best suggested that the working is "Aligned with the Nationally '''NIFOG''' recommended standard"

Yea, the National Deployable Trunked System ( ;) ) is up and running. I only just started listening to it. I can't pick it up everywhere in my home, so I had to move my scanner to another location.

What talkgroup(s) did you catch? I didn't hear any activity, but I wasn't able to listen all day.

Don't recall seeing any. Seems like they were just using the various frequencies listed. The HP-2 was not showing any TGs.

I had it programmed in as a trunked system, and only caught the one TG on Wednesday.

From the database here:

These channels have been allocated to be used for a field deployed trunked radio system. As listed, the radio/scanner will not track these channels in a normal (trunked) manner and must be scanned conventionally as system ID's and talkgroups will vary on ownership. Channels 5 and 6 are recommended for control channels.

I was just hearing traffic on the various 700 mhz frequencies, although it was locking on the control channel, but I didn't hear any data on it.

Thanks for all the info guys! This is good stuff to look for during the next training or during a real emergency. Regarding the trunked system, This may be the same "Statewide Emergency Mobile System" that is operated by Mesa. They may have change frequencies. The frequencies documented in the DB were monitored in January 2012. The document provided by clover509 is dated October 2015. They may have changed frequencies due to the NPSTC guidance. I'm guessing since the system IDs are the same, they just changed frequencies.

Regarding the comments in the DB that radio will not track these channels in a normal trunked manner, I'm not sure what that is all about. If you program the CC and ACC as a P25 trunked system, you *should* be able to follow talkgroups as a trunked system. Some old information that I have shows talkgroups that may be in use are 2560-2575. Based on John hearing talkgroup 2573, this seems in line with the Mesa Statewide Emergency Mobile System.
