Sitting with a tpd officer earlier this week, went thru his radio found emsa on it, was told all tpd will have direct contact with emsa so they wont have to ask dispatch for emsa, theyll just switch over and do it themselves.also told several emsa units will be on the system august 1st. So who knows, maybe we will all have to listen harder to get used to hearing tpd ask for emsa themselves since the actual emsa transmision on their main dispatch is supposed to be encrypted.
Update 2, directly from emsa paramedics mouth, emsa will be simul broadcasting on 463.100 along with the new 800 until it has been determined that the 800 system is 100% operational with no possibility of flaws.
finally, did anyone else hear the tulsa system go dead earlier this week? It was off air for about 6 minutes, i scanned conventional and you could hear officers key up but no audio. 7A and 7J were stuck in transmit while all other subfleets were dead. This happened about 11 30 ish i think it was sunday night.
thats all folks....
Ill see what else i can dig up and pass it along...
