EMSA

Hi everyone. I just joined this forum so everyone bear with me b/c im sure this has allready been address.

What happened to EMSA? I used to listen to them quite a bit on my BC785 on the 400mhz freqs, but awhile back all the traffic just quit. Are they on the Tulsa Trunk now? If so what are there ID #s?

They are on the tulsa trunk system however they are digital and encrypted. I think some of there traffic is still analog someone from that area could give you a better answer if you can listen to them at all.

You can hear a little of their traffic on the analog talkgroup of 30288, but very little. It's mostly just some brief chats between crews cancelling Tulsa Fire enroute, etc.

Just like Rob said, the only talkgroup we can monitor of EMSA is known as EMSA 7E or 5E (30288). It is a mutual aid channel that has been put into the FDs and PDs radios where EMSA has jurisdiction. The others are digital and encrypted and there is NO scanner or will be a scanner that can monitor encypted signals because it's illegal. The old UHF system has been rumored to be kept as a backup just in case the 800 crashes for a long period of time. I have also heard from an EMSA employee that some of them use it for talkaround. That's it. Other local EMS services that can still be monitored. Med Tech and Integrity EMS (160.17), EMS Plus (151.445) and Creek County EMS (159.81).
