ENC 460.xxxx Mhz UHF P-25 in Linden/Crawfordsville, IN Area

Monitored the following frequencies in the Linden and Crawfordsville, Indiana areas this morning 09/02/2025

All four frequencies were encrypted P-25 in the 460 Mhz range.

Only possible match in FCC database is KSA318, City of Indianapolis Division of Public Safety Communications.
Search into nearby eastern Illinois doesn't show anything licensed.

460.0250 with NAC = 264, using TGID = 5909
460.0750 with NAC = 303, TGID not noted
460.1500 with NAC = 118, using TGID 5904
460.2000 with NAC = 405, using TGID 5908

No P-25 control channels noted in the 453 or 460 Mhz range which would indicate a trunked system.

Any insight would be appreciated.

It looks like they are a patch from the Chicago P25 system. The only other 59xx TGs are patches onto 460mhz as well.

If you program the system as OFT, those talk groups will appear, or if you set up your display to show talk groups on digital conventional systems, they will also appear.

The 3 citywides are also being broadcast on the Chicago's 800 trunking system in addition to analog.

Love how the band openings this time of year can create some unique monitoring opportunities.

Linden, IN is approximately 120 air miles south-east of Chicago (about 15 miles south of Lafayette, IN).

Tower heights in Chicago notwithstanding, that's a pretty impressive reception on UHF!
