Hi guys for some reason the latest DSD+ release is muting encrypted voice calls.

In my .bat files I do not have the "-e" Auto-mute encrypted voice set and also in the new menu options I have ticked Follow/Unmute Encrypted Voice Calls.

Is there something else I am missing here?

Cheers

I'm not sure but any encrypted voice call is now muted, I cant hear the scrambled audio. Just wondering why.

Use the Control menu to set your preferences.

Here is a capture of my control menu it should be setup correctly to unmute encrypted calls

I too have been playing with the Follow/Unmute Enc Voice Calls function - it doesn't seem to work (?). I don't have any P25 to play with but it looks like all DMR encryption types are muted.

Standard Nexedge scrambling on NXDN4800 and NXDN9600 remains unmuted irrespective of the setting for "Follow/Unmute Enc Voice Calls" function.

I have noticed you can briefly hear the scrambled voice when tuning on and off an active voice call.

But yeah its all muted now.....

Don't waste your time trying to unmute encrypted calls because they will not decrypt unless you have a user key for them. Most scanners will bypass encrypted comms anyway.

I have a local DMR system that has some radios that use encryption and some that do not. Strange situation yes (maybe the programmer forgot to activate the encryption key on some handsets who knows) but the muting is now clipping on the radios that are not encrypted so i'm missing the start of some comms.

Do anyone know what the last version that let you listen to scrambled DMR/CON+ i know it was possible.
What there a version that allowed P25?

DSD+ 2.212 allowed encrypted DMR and NXDN to be passed (or i think muted with -e switch set). Not sure about P25 but I imagine its the same version. I agree with the views that having the user choice of what happens when encryption is encountered is highly preferable vs automatically do one thing or the other is best. Whistler does it best IMHO with a choice of digi noise, tone or mute.
