I frequently listen to the East Providence PD & realize that Ch 3 is encrypted & discover their new Ch"12" for detective, is also encrypted. They switch over to those channels for private messages. However, I'm curious as to why they never, ever use Ch 2. It's listed as being encrypted.

It may be reserved for other purposes, I'm sure each channel/TG has a purpose.

I've seen them on CH 2 before. It's not often but it does occasionally get used. Check back when they have the fireworks at Pierce field.
