I have had the SW77, ATS909, R75, SW7600GR, and the Eton E1 is awsome.
This radio is a keeper. Hands down better than the others I have had for HF.
I got it from the Sharper Image for $399.00 plus delivery, that deal has expired now, but it's worth the current price $499.00.
Next they need to add DRM, GPS, and HD radio.

How does it perform on SSB transmissions? I've been tempted to buy that radio since it does XM and everything. I'm surprised they did not add DRM to that. I've that was the case I'd already own it :)

Why would you need GPS on it? Just wondering.

The E1 is better than Icom R75? Wow! I have had all sorts from the R75 to DX-398, Satellit 700, Sony 2010, SW-77 and 7600GR. You really put this above all those huh? I'll have to get one!

Thanks.

Ah, the long awaited Satellit 900. I understand Drake had a hand in the design, as in the somewhat controversial Satellit 800. You got a great deal at $399. I also would rather have DRM capability but there really aren't that many interesting DRM broadcasts available yet in these parts. I'm more of a DX kind of guy anyway. I've been waiting for years for Grundig now Eton to finally get this beauty on the market but since I just bought a Winradio last year (which is really fun :D) I guess I need to wait a while before investing in another HF reciever. At 400 bucks though I might have been tempted.
