EVERGREEN – A family is safe Saturday morning after an early morning fire in their home.
The Evergreen Fire Department responded quickly because the family had working smoke detectors.
According to the Evergreen Fire Department the fire broke out at 6 a.m. on Saturday and the fire department arrived a short time later.
The fire was contained to the fire place area.
Evergreen Fire Department Public Information Officer Einair Jensen says its always good news when people have smoke detectors.
“This family had working smoke detectors and they woke the family up,” said Jensen. “Clearly smoke detectors help save lives.”
The fire is under investigation.
