Are you trying to use Internet Explorer? No version of IE supports the required features. I should add a message if people try to use a browser that won't work...

It works for me using current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, or iOS[sort of].

Features that need to be supported:
Can I use... Support tables for HTML5, CSS3, etc

I was curious which browsers are actually being used. Here are the browsers people have actually used in the last 13 days or so:
32 Mac Chrome
52 Linux Chrome
689 Mac Firefox
2057 Android Chrome
2782 Mac Safari
4944 Android Firefox
19191 Linux Firefox
53707 iOS Safari
79986 Win Firefox
158866 Win Chrome

The number is the number of audio clips listened to. Changing the user agent string to something a more human readable was done with a bunch of sed statements and is subject to lots of error.

So anyway, I would try Chrome or Firefox on Windows.

I would also like to say thanks again for the site.. I use it daily for playback and live monitoring... I should be able to update my Safari to a current version and that should fix the issue.. Not sure why the Explorer one is not working but I will continue to investigate

Hey johmoe also a video or photos of your setup would be awesome!

Not much to see. An antenna mounted by someone who doesn't know what they are doing and a paint job by a previous owner who didn't know what they were doing.

Still some impressive handyman work and a really good indoor antenna

The main thing to take from Johnmoe's picture is that it's not the antenna. There's no yagi being pointed anywhere, or away from anything.

It's all about the method used to demodulate.

If you use the correct method, you get pretty damn good coverage, even with a very basic antenna.

If you use the wrong method (e.g., C4FM instead of CPQSK), you're going to get crap results.

Uniden and Whistler need to wake up, and so do their customers.

Of course, this does beg the question of what Johnmoe could pull in if he had a nice (omni) gain antenna with a low-noise preamp, correctly filtered of course...

UMPD Coverage

First of all, your website is great. The playback feature is really cool and I appreciate the work you've put into this. One thing I want to bring up is that it seems as if your website only picks up some of the University of Minnesota police traffic. Do you know why this is and could you possibly look into it? Thanks!

Thanks. The University of MN - Police Dispatch I am showing is talkgroup 3598. Just to clarify, are you saying that I am missing some traffic on 3598 or that some other talkgroup(s) should also be included?

I'm not entirely sure. Do you know of other talkgroups that they use? If so, could you add those?

Oh, I just found the list. Could you add 3580, 3590, and 3596 to the UMN section?
