I am scanning a lot of local DMR frequencies but when I look at the logs (and listen to the recordings) it is very confusing without seeing the frequencies associated with the Channel/Talkgroup/Radio. I read that if you use the -E switch then you get Extended Logging which then adds this information in the logs. Unfortunately, this switch does not actually seem to be supported (any more?) and I get an error to this effect (invalid command line parameter: '-E') so I am just wondering if there is another way to achieve this?

I am using the latest version of Fastlane DSDplus with a TCP link.

Any suggestions appreciated!

That's a DSDPlus parm, you're not trying to use it in your FMP24 start statement are you?

That is exactly what I was doing! The sample parameters in either .bat file did not mention this switch and I took it to be an FMP switch. I've added that now and it works as intended.

I can parse the info that I need from the log file now but it would be nice if this info was automatically included in the .groups and .radios files along with the naming of the CC-Record files. But you can't have everything! This is great for now.

Thanks a million BM82557!

I see that option staring at me now in the DSDPlus instructions file. Doh!

I note as well that there is a "DSDPlus.frequencies" file (but it doesn't seem to be populated with DMR signals, even with the -E option).
Thanks again.

the only frequencies that populate to a file are P25 TRS freqs. They are found in the DSDPlus.P25Data file.
You need to edit the frequencies file and add the DMR frequencies in the correct format.

Ahh, does this rename the file for each recording with more info to help ID what freq that the scanner stopped on?
(I have a separate issue re terrible recording quality whenever I scan but its fine when just "sitting" on one freq, but anyhoo) this would be great if it does that...

No, that would be very useful (as I mentioned above) but that does not seem to be the case. Setting up DMR systems in that .frequencies file does not seem to enable any additional functionality that I can see but there is a separate line with a "Current site: 1" now appearing under most stations in the event logs (which is just a bit annoying TBH). However, I'm very happy to have frequencies now appearing in the log with my -E flag working correctly now so I can't complain!

Using the frequencies file allows trunktracking with the trunked systems. You can also create custom SYSIDs and have aliases for radios. Its in the Notes file.
