I own a pro-2051 and my county went to Project 25 Standard from Motorola Type II Smartnet, so my scanner will not work on the trunking side but will still work on VHF for station paging. I was looking on the internet a while back and found an "in-line" tone decoder. In other words, it would be connected between the scanner and the external speakers. I was hoping someone on this forum would help me out and let me know if what I found was a figment of my imagination or not. I already have tone detect software on my laptop but I don't always have it with me. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I saw that but I don't know enough about building electronics and was hoping someone would know where I could buy one. Unless someone has step by step instructions.

Might be cheaper to buy one of the Uniden scanners that will directly work with two-tone paging.
BR330T is the least expensive that can (if you can find one).
BC346XT coming out next year will also do it at the lower end.
Otherwise, BCT15, BCD396T, BCD396XT (next year), BCD996T also have the feature.
