EZ Scan 800 went silent

A few days ago I did an update on my 800 using the current database found here..
Houston County, Georgia (GA) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
for Houston County, Georgia which includes the cities of Warner Robins, Centerville and Perry. After that update I get no sound at all. I can see scanners display scanning and now and then stopping on one of the frequencies but I get no audio.
What should I check or do?

Force write the full database, then delete the system and re add it.

I had a similar problem recently. Reloaded from EZScan and it worked normally.

Please pardon my ignorance but how do you force wirte then delete a system and readd it?

What's strange is I also have a Uniden BC 436 with this system on it and I did NOT update it and it's still receiving transmissions just fine so I don't believe encryption was done.

Have you tried listening with headphones? If you can hear with headphones then maybe the headphone jack became stuck in the open position.

This is just a though I had but it may not be your problem. But it wouldn't hurt to try if for no other reason than to rule it out as a cause.

No haven't tried that but I will in the next day or so.

I've updated everything that is updateable.
I've left the batteries out for a time and then put them back.
I've redownloaded the RR database again, and a couple of other things I can't remember right off.
Still no sound.
I can see the display changing and stopping on a channel as it scans, but no audio. That's bad considering audio is all we have on a scanner. Sitting here watching it I thought if it had a video screen... maybe I could read lips. ; )

What is the difference between:
uP Boot Ver: F1.0
and
uP Appl Ver: U1.9
This is what my screens reads when checking for updates.
Anyone have any other suggestions?

Did you try and wipe the sd card out,re-add the database and then delete the system you are looking at then re-add the system via the manual way of adding a system in Ezscan?

I had that issue with my PSR-800. In the EZScan software I clicked on Restore Factory Defaults. Then copied Configuration to Scanner SDCard and all was well. I then reset my customization and all is well. Don't know why but it unmuted the radio.

I have it working again, except for a few frequencies, after using the EZ Scan software to format the SD card, being careful to check the boxes for writing the database and configuration after formatting.
