Torn as where to post this as it falls under several different areas of the forums and on the wiki for UCAN 601.

After obtaining the legacy upgrade to my Pro 668 and now using Whistler EZ-Scan to program there seems to be a problem? or question about tags.
The preprogrammed lists by tags in the EZ-Scan software do not use "-" when programming but the database has "-" between some of the tags.
Example: EZ-Scan is Multi Talk while the database lists it as Multi-Talk. How does the software figure out how to strip out the hyphen when programming by simple zip code search?

Any thoughts or guidance?

This may catch more attention in the Whistler Forum. Only having my first Whistler scanner for a short time, I'm still learning the ins/outs of it and the EZ Scan software.
Not much help, sorry.

I was more hoping to catch the attention of the db admins from rr. My question really centers around a concern when programming by groups the scanner looks at the database "tag" as multi-talk or as multi talk (without the hyphen) to determine which talkgroups it programs?

You are programming from the EZ Scan database, not from Radio Reference, in the EZ Scan the dash is automatically removed and it doesn't make a difference. I have tried it using multiple ways on my EZ Scan and it works fine.
