I have programmed 3 different models (6 scanners) using 2 different versions of EZ and just realized that I don't recall using one particular step under Library Import. I started #7 and realized this today.

The step is where you mark which scanlists that you want your imported channels (not talk groups) to be a part of (screenshot below).

All the scanners seem to be working fine. Is this step needed? Am I missing something by skipping it?

For all my EZScan imports (Channels and TGs), I purposely go through and make sure all ScanLists are UNSELECTED. This forces all of the imports into the Unassigned Objects ScanList. There, they can be assigned to one (or more) ScanLists of one's choice. Or, they can remain unassigned for easy access in the future.

Added: I just checked, and my Unassigned Objects ScanList contains 443 Channels and TGs, from various Systems and Agencies, that I have never assigned to a ScanList. In general, they look like Channels and TGs that I probably won't ever try to monitor.
