I getting ready to put together the Fall/Winter ScanIn for us in Georgia.a I am going to take Julian up on his suggestion and we will be having the 1st ever "Shoot and Scan"! I will be getting in contact with one of the local gun ranges to see which would like to host it. It will consist of a speaker on gun safety (be it a NRA, licensed gun dealer, PD officer), followed by some time on the range (several of us do pack, so we will have "toys" to fire). I am hoping that the range I get will offer us some discounts on ammunition so it won't be costing very much per person (a box of ammo is 50 rounds and runs in the area of $23 for .40 caliber). We will have a "breakdown" session afterwards to clean all the weapons. Once finished, we will head to lunch (with our scanners and the fresh smell of gun powder)!
What I need to know, is 1) how many would like to come and 2) how many will be bringing their weapon of choice (must be a hand gun, no long guns).
I'm hoping that we can pull this one off and have a real fun time! And this time, bring the wives (I taught my wife to shoot and it was her first time ever firing a .40 and she out shot me!).
