I have just received two e-mails/pages saying that both my feeds are down. As of the time of the messages, one was down for 21 minutes, the other for 27. I have just checked the feeds and both are up. The computers are up and running and my ISP is up. Even the feed section of RR says they're up. Any idea why the false notification?

On another topic, it's been quite a while since I have seen a feed status e-mail. What happened to those?

Feed down message

FWIW, Bob, received one an hour ago saying I had been down for 33 Minutes.. But was able to get the feed return OK - a bit longer delay - almost 30-45 seconds as opposed to 10 secs or so

a glitch - not unusual in such a complicated transfer from SCANAMERICA to RR - Actually been pretty glitch free, considering!

I hear what you're saying... What's more interesting is that even though the feeds never were actually down when I got the messages, I have never received any messages saying the feeds were back up.

I got the same thing on one of my feeds hosted on the audio3 server. I checked the computer and it kept looping with a message "reconnect in xx seconds". About 20 mins later it reconnected automatically and has been working fine since.

This past week I got the same thing. I recieved a total of 6 emails 3 stating the feed was down and 3 stating it was back up. During the time that the feed was "down" on the mobile side my feed disappeared from the list and it even disappeared from berryscanner too. I logged into my computer via remote and saw that the feed was actually up. When I got the feed is back up email all returned to normal.

We've got a few bugs in the feed down notifications but we're working on them.

Thanks Lindsay...
It's a little disconcerting to get a "feed down" message, when it's not.

feedus, if I understand what you're saying, your feed was connected to the servers, but some component of the feed service (after the servers) was down, causing the "feed down" messages?
If so, all I have to say is that I only want to be notified if my computer loses contact with the servers. After that, I don't care, since it's not something I can fix..
