anything with a PL is suspect as the FBI went P25 over 15++ years ago in any of the non Zone D or Zone DNB zones

$207 is/was not PA

Yeah it's not quite like it was when Tom Kneitel wrote the top secret registry LOL.

Some of the actual frequencies are the same but it's all p25 but not necessarily encrypted.😉.

From what I'm able to gather it doesn't always depend on the NAC.. I believe many disciplines, FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, DEA might all be working together sometimes..

Seek and you shall find. If you're in Philly you're going to get the Federal Park Rangers from Old City, constitutional Center, Etc.. female dispatcher dispatching Rangers, sometimes one side in the clear sometimes both sides. You can just lock that one out.. good luck.

I suspect all FBI transmissions, nationwide, have all gone encrypted. I know for sure about DC, MD and VA.

Not in Philly they haven't. I have heard surveillance operations where the cars on the ground are encrypted but the fixed Wing aircraft are in the clear. I have heard the theory that because the fixed Wing aircraft fly pretty high and they are painted white so as not to be detected and there's a possibility that encryption does not work well when a fixed aircraft is around 4,000 ft up.

I have heard this myself a couple of times, ground units assisted by aircraft who were in the clear. The NAC indicated it was FBI in Philadelphia.
