Mike, See the 2'nd post on this thread.... Nextel apparently decided to get a jump on things in DE back in 3/05 - at least regarding proposed equipment swapping.

Question???
I have heard from an inside source that Delaware is moving to the lower 800 mh band. From what I have seen on other posts that it will be on the Narrow Band config.
Is the 700mh band programable into the Pro-96? I have tried this using win 96 with the extended range checked and it will not take a 700mh it comes up as 500. Any answers.

Hmm, from what I saw on that 2nd thread, NexHell was talking about an equipment swap; the frequencies are quite another matter. And as for 700 mhz and the 96, I kinda doubt it; the only radio I have heard that will have 700 trunking is the new 396.

Hello,

If you check the RRDB for DE's TRS, there is a news release in reference to rebanding. The State is adding new sites, and will run Sites with 866-869 MHz, and 851-854 MHz. The State is patiently awaiting Licenses for the new Band before they proceed. Expected to take about 17 months to complete the change. The State has no plans for 700 MHz, but that could change. Nextel is in discussions with Fire Companies. NFD.

Thanx Dave. Intereting development; do you suppose they are using Delaware as a 'test case'? After all, from the last schedules I saw, discussions with the TA, NexHell and the state weren't supposed to start until after the end of the month.

In fact, as I understand it, there's a great deal of paperwork that needs to be filed for each frequency that is 'surrendered'. Whether that paperwork will ever get processed in Gettysburg is another matter entirely....
