The feds use 12.5 KHz channels. Your scanner apparently doesn't, in that band, and 'rounds off' to the nearest 5 KHz channel. That works fine for receive, but you should remember when writing down lists of frequencies that it's not the correct channel.
You may also find the feds or others using the even tighter 6.25 KHz splits (half of 12.5), which produces even odder looking entries, like 169.24375 (Which your scanner will display as either 169.240 or 169.245)
OK, I hear you as well as someone else that pointed that out the other day. thanks, I understand how a scanner rounds freqs up or down, I just wasn't aware the feds used 12.5Hz spacing
