I'm seeing some action today. I played back the three messages but there was no sound. I restarted my computer to ensure the sound module wasn't locked by another app. It's happened before. Now, the three broadcasts seen in the thumbnail below are gone.
I wish the gent would answer my email .

You may want to come to terms with something you are not going to like. Your area the OPP are going to be encrypted soon or it has already happened. So you will not be able to listen anymore anyways, I would suggest find a new hobby.
I believe Windsor to Toronto has already changed to the new radio system, so your area is likely soon.

Yes, I heard that too Webstar. It was just a matter of when. I have a few friends on the force and the general consensus is they don't like scanners but are also willing to acknowledge that people with scanners are another "set of eyes on things" and may become potential witnesses. Guess we'll see. Thanks....

There is no guess we will see, its happening. Rollout is already well underway. Toronto to Windsor is already fully encrypted for everything but the MTO now.

I received some messages from Jason_Wyler in the Ottawa area. The OPP is still very active in his area and he suggested I listen in. Being the furthest area east, their conversion will likely be last on the list. I told Jason that I was born in Ottawa and spent a fair amount of time there as a kid in the 60s. I know the area fairly well. Should be fun. Thanks Jason!

Ottawa, Renfrew County, Lanark etc.. all have LMRN showing up on Towers, I'm being told by Feb-March.
They work by zones, Zone 1 is done, they are moving into Zone 2 Eastern Ontario and then they go north into 3 and 4.
