I'm New to Digital Scanning and Trunked radio systems and have been trying for three months to program the new Fentress County, TN. emergency services digital frequencies into my scanner without any success. I found out my BCT15X Uniden scanner was not compatible with the new DMR services and purchased a new BCD996P2 Digital scanner, however I still cannot figure out how to properly input the information in the Radio Refference Database into my FreeSCAN software so that it can be loaded into my new scanner. I'm not sure what to do with the "TONE" settings in the database (CC, TGID, SL). Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated. I"m getting pretty frustrated with it.

Thank You...

The database shows that Fentress County is migrating to a DMR system. FreeScan does not support DMR.

You will probably want to take a look at ProScan for programming the BCD996P2. ProScan offers a 30 day fully functional trial. License cost is $50.
