File Preview

I had to restore my computer to factory defaults and i need help on how to do this.

Usually when i went to a folder that had pictures or videos..etc it would show a preview of everything in that folder without having to actually open it. This is what it looks like now (see screen shot). How can i get it back to being able to see the contents without actually opening the file? I hope im making sense.

If you are using Windows Explorer you can change the settings in Tools > Folder Options > View. If you are using another program then check the preferences or program's options settings.

I tried that but it didnt seem to make any difference.

I run Win7 so you may have to look for another checkbox, but if I make sure that 'always show icons, never thumbnails' is unchecked windows explorer instantly changes to icons or thumbnails.

Changed it and it worked PERFECTLY.

Not fun having to reset computer to default, especially when you didnt back it up in first place That will not happen again.
