In my town the fire department broadcasts their standard feed and then they also broadcast low power "incident" channels, which are on scene communications. In my town they have 3 talk groups for incident channels, Incident 1, incident 2 and (wait for it) incident 3.
As I mentioned these Incident Channel are extremely low power so you have to be located within a block or two to receive them.
The fire department rebroadcasts these incident channels on their own repeater if they are in range of wherever their repeater receiver is.
Today I was asked by someone at our fire department (not high up) to no longer broadcast the Incident channels on my Broadcastify feed.
I feel that when the incident channels are received (not that often) it shows the public the hard work these people do and gives a great insight of what its like to be fighting a fire.
I have ready the rules for broadcasting these feeds, and while I see there are rules for Law Enforcement that prohibits car to car and things like that I see no such rules for Fire Coverage.
I have been broadcasting here for I believe over 13 years now and just want to make sure I am in compliance with the rules of Broadcastify as I don't want to put my feed in danger as I am planning to continue broadcasting the incident channels unless I am asked by someone higher up at the fire department, or if indeed these broadcasts are in violation of rules here.
Thanks!
