What is the least expensive Uniden scanner that has Fire Tone Out?

I only want to use the radio exclusively for this function. I'm currently using a BC396XT. which is overkill for this.

Thanks in advance

When I lived in the Chicago area I used a half dozen BCT15's for specific fire channels on different freqs. I used a couple BCT15X's for searching new tones on some of these channels.

Used BCT15 and BCT15X's can be had for about $100, new they are about $180 or so. The "X" version allows one to search for tones, the older version does not.

I used to use Plectrons for this but the BCT15/BCT15X are a lot more flexible for this.

How many sets of tones will a Minitor listen for? And how do you program it? I want to be able listen for 5-6 sets of tones, Specifically, Burlington County NJ, on 154.220.

Minitor 6 has ten spots for tones, five additional group call tones.

You don't even need a specific scanner. Any scanner that will receive that frequency will do - along with software such as Audacity. A jumper between the scanner and your PC soundcard will fill the bill

For the Minitor 5 specs see: Minitor V Two-Tone Voice Pager - Motorola Solutions

You can program them yourself by getting the programming cradle and software from Motorola or on eBay. If you can program a scanner, you can program a Minitor.

However it might be cheaper to send it off - I see where some folks have offered to do this for $15.
