Firefox picture viewing issue

For the past 2 months or so I've had an issue viewing pictures in Firefox on my G4 iMac. This problem happens most prevalently in Facebook such as profile pictures and google image searchs. The problem does not happen in Safari.
I am using Firefox 3.6.12
This problem has never happened before and doesn't occur on other computers using my FB account.
Any ideas on how I can solve this? It may be that the version of firefox I use is outdated. I also am nit sure that I can update firefox any further since I have a G4 iMac with Mac OS 10.4.11

I don't use a Mac, but I do use Firefox. Are you loading an FF addons? It might be something in there that is blocking pictures. That's about all I can think of, unless maybe an anti-virus program might be blocking them.

If it is site specific it sounds like a pic or ad blocker in use somewhere along the lines.

try this also:
1) Open the URL about:config.
2) Scroll down to network.http.sendRefererHeader.
3) Set value to 0.

Check to see if Java Script is enabled. Some web sites won't load pics without it enabled.

What problem?

Not appearing at all? Only partially loading? Wrong size? Out of focus/grainy? Displaced in the page? All images or only some images on a page?
