I just did the 1.11.06 firmware update on my BCD996P2 and noticed that it no longer shows the NAC when a search stops on a P25 control channel. It still shows it on the voice channels. I tried several P25 systems and it behaves the same for all of them.

I hadn't updated my BCD325P2 yet so I checked on it and as expected, it shows the NAC for either the control channel or a voice channel. I just did the firmware update on the 325 and now it no longer shows the NAC on the control channel. It just alternates between DAT and LNK.

Edit: I rolled back the firmware and it's 1.11.06 that breaks it. 1.11.04 is fine.

I could be wrong, but I don't think P25 control channels have NACs. What would be the point?

They do, and it's to prevent co-channel interference. Motorola ASTRO 25 systems, for example, use a derivative of the System ID as the NAC. So for example SysID A66 uses NAC A61 for Site 1 and NAC A62 for Site 2.
