Five stupid question

Ramsey makes an air band receiver that is tuned RF direct conversion. There is no local oscillator. Just a VHF tuned amp and an AM detector. Thus it cannot interfere with anything. It is cheap enough that if confiscated it would not be a big deal. It is small. Plug in ear buds and pretend you are listening to Pink Floyd.

Stray RF from scanner oscillator and the IF stages alone can cause a lot of interference .....
