FIX For Dead Display in PRO-2002?

(Was mistaken in earlier post. Not 2020 but a 2002).
I brought back my Bearcat 300 display with a capacitor, but I’m looking at a Realistic PRO-2002 with the same issue. I’ve searched the Internet, but have yet to find any reference to this. Is it usually the display itself, or a bad component?

The display circuit in the PRO-2002 is very similar to the one in the PRO-2020. My comments for the PRO-2020 apply to the PRO-2002 as well. The service manual for the PRO-2002 is at mods.dk -> Instruction, users and service manuals for Realistic

On page 45 in the upper left see the display circuit.
