Just need confirmation that FFS is still NFM vs. P25. I'll be trying to listen from the Melrose, FL area. I did read previous threads and checked to DB but sometimes things change quickly.

Thanks for your patience.

They should still be analog. Those Midland analog base stations are going to last a long time (hoping I am remembering correctly from their RFQ). I also seem to remember they had serious frequency reuse issues and tried to use PL tones to keep the adjacent towers isolated to the correct users. But, they ended up using adjacent PL tones (i.e. the next valid tone up/down) which caused a lot of falsing in the repeaters and subscribers. I seem to recall they tried usi g some sort of GPS or tracking data solution on the same frequencies as their voice system, but had issues with data and voice colliding and it didn't work properly. It was a big mess for a while, but I have not listened actively for about 8-9 years. TT

Yesterday, I spoke with one of the Santa Rosa County D.O.F. bosses and inquired if there would any upcoming changes. He said "No" and mentioned they were at the mercy of the state.
