Using Freescan with the database here. Any tips for the Floyd system. I am right on top of it, sure I just need to check or uncheck a box. BCD996XT. Have WGAARS working pretty good..

W4AMP - I loaded my 396XT right from the RR Database using Freescan (which I use exclusively). I've had no problems monitoring Floyd County DTRS when I've been within range of it. In fact, I received it with digital-quality sound when the Floyd County Deputy was behind me calling out my tag for speeding.

My settings have use Motorola end code and use Motorola digital end code checked. Does yours? It's a simulcast and I am on top of it I receive the WGAARS simulcast fine, and I am receiving P25 signals from as far away as Petros Tennessee. So I have my P25 settings right. Could you tell me your settings so I can check them against mine? That will actually help.

Thanks

Also has Edacs ID format as decimal, ID mode as ID search, delay time as 2, both analog and digital AGC checked, apco band plan is blank. All talk groups have audio as digital only, MP25 tab has apco mode as auto, threshold is 8, hold time 0, modulation auto, p25 wait time 0, site type as motp25/p25 standard. I am only 15 miles from most of the sites, so I have tried both with attenuator on and with attenuator off. Figured the multipathing might have something to do with it. Also have GPS unchecked, none hooked up. Control channel only is checked and subdued which I suppose goes with the site type.

How many of the sites do you have loaded into the system on the scanner? It might be overloading trying to pick which site to lock onto. And, what does EDACS ID format have to do with a Moto system? You might be trying to tweak to much. Why not try the default settings that are in the database?

Already tried the default, does not work. That is why I am trying to get help. For troubleshooting put Floyd in with Cobb by themselves. Cobb worked fine, but not Floyd. The Edacs format box is on the freescan software. can anyone actually look at their freescan setting for this system? Sure would appreciate it.

Also noticed that when you download the site with Freescan it has both end code boxes checked. But if you download with ARC those boxes are unchecked. Strange.

This pic shows the download from Freescan for the system. Does this match y'alls working settings? Then again, when was the last time you heard a signal from this system?

moderator you can kill the thread, found out what I needed. Thanks

Curious as to what you did to get it to work. I am having problems with Floyd also. I might live too far away but I was able to listen to the old analog frequencies. Looked like your picture showed a Mot Type II /P25 system. I have tried both that and the P25 Standard Digital. I am wondering if I need to enter a Band Plan. I have a Uniden BCD396XT scaner.

Any help would be appreciated.
