I am working on an initial set-up of DSD+ (non-fastlane) on a Windows 7 machine with 2 RTL-SDR v3 dongles.

I built up a frequency list using digital frequency search for my county and named it FMP-FreqList.csv. When I run FMP it seems to stop at Loading frequency data.

When I look in the DSDPlus folder the file reads "FMP-FreqList" , file type CSV . Could that be the issue? That the file name is incorrect or am I looking at it wrong in the configuration file?

Thank you for the help.

You don't have Windows Explorer set to show file extensions. Not a problem.

Sounds like FMP is choking on the file. If the name was wrong, FMP wouldn't be looking at it.

Can you zip up the file and attach it here?

Thank you for the reply. I have attached the zipped file.

I use Windows Explorer details view. Is that not the correct one?

Thanks

what happens when you enter one of the frequencies? with FMP it shows the record(FMP-FreqList) in the CMD window
Screenshot (214).png

it shows for me in the CMD, unlike FMP24 which shows it also in the Spectrum window

FMP.cfg open with a text editor and change the lat/lon to yours (I set mine back to the default lat/lon and my freq list wouldn't load)

should be
32.9342 -97.2293

without the - before 97.2293 it puts you in Yushu, Qinghai, China

Wow. Thank you @PDXh0b0 . I had a feeling that it would be something easy once it was found and it was. Totally a fat finger issue on my part.
Now when I put in a frequency such as a railroad nearby FMP:eek:ut window lists the frequencies.

I really appreacite the help as it has been frustrating.

This is true. It has to be fun.

My next hurdle is getting the audio setup correctly so FMP feeds DSDPlus. Never imagined that a simple basic PC would cause such headaches. Heck, who am I trying to fool

Shot in the dark..
Run the FMP-CC.bat , tune to the frequency

Open VC.bat in a text editor
Change -i20002 to -i20001
Save as VC(fmp).bat and run it

I tried it on a DMR and it worked, FMP isn't going to trunk follow, but it is decoding the frequency it is sitting on.

Thanks for the guidance. So the area I am trying to monitor is here North Texas Interoperable Radio Network (NTIRN) Site: Northeast Tarrant
I tried to tune to the control channels and I saw some on the green in the spectrum analyzer but never any audio. Curiiously, I am not getting any sound when I run FMP with or without DSDPlus. Not even white noise. So, I think I messed that up. I probably fat fingered any command.

Here are some screen shots of what I saw this morning.DSD+ -2.PNGDSD+.PNGFMP - tuned to Northeast Tarrant County Control Channel.PNGFMP -2.PNG

Thanks.

Yeah. I am not well versed in software and seem to enjoy the pain (lessons learned). My master plan was to set up my Win 7 desktop with two RTL-SDR v3 dongles and DSDPlus Fastlane. In my mind it made sense to get the basic DSDPlus up and working first. It appears that I would be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

I do have a Win 10 laptop that I have plans to put SDR trunk on. I seem to be stuck on the fact that I need to get DSDPlus working first. I paid for FastLane. Maybe I should just make the jump now. Not really sure.

I fully understand that I am all over the map in my "projects". I just wish I could get past this DSDPlus hurdle.

you basically dump the contents of your first fastlane zip file into the DSDPlus101 folder

Making youtube videos takes a skillset I lack lmao

Thanks for the video. It makes sense. Better than I could have done most certainty. I see that you have other DSDPlus fastlane videos to watch. Looks like I have some learning to do. I saw this the first time I ran FMP24.FMP w Fastlane.PNG
