I've been having a strange problem picking up my EMS system in Texas. This is a rural county with a very simple trunking system. I monitor it with FMP24.
Dispatch will alert the EMT for a new call. by saying "Medic 48." Normally I should then hear the address and nature of the 911 call. However I am not hearing that, instead it's about a minute of dead air. Then I hear "Medic 48, starting miles" and he clearly has the address and nature of the 911 call at that time. I can hear the rest of the transmissions normally, including the EMTs talking with the hospital, mileage, and so on.
So I'm missing the call with the address and nature of the call.
I don't think they're transferring it electronically, as a few times I've heard the EMTs asking dispatch to repeat the address, and they do so verbally and I hear all that.
The log during one of these problems looks like this:
2022/01/22 13:04:13 Freq=461.450000 RAN=1 Group call; TG=29 RID=662 [EMSBASE] Ch=657 2s <----- Dispatch: "Medic 48" (alerting them)
2022/01/22 13:04:32 Freq=461.450000 RAN=1 Registration; RID=695 [U48P] TG=29 ACCEPTED (address & nature of call are being read at this point)
2022/01/22 13:05:49 Freq=461.450000 RAN=1 Group call; TG=29 RID=676 [U47F] Ch=491 2s <---- Medic 48: "Start miles 122.4"
Is this indicating there are NO EVENTS at all on the network, including encrypted calls and channels without a frequency assignment? Or could these events actually be occurring? I don't know how to go about debugging this problem.
