Hello,

Giving some thought to an Airspy H+ Discovery.

A few general questions, please:

a. I see there is only a single ant spigot.
As the ant for <30 MHz would be different than one used for vhf, how do you folks handle this ?

Buy an external switch for ? Or,...?

b. Anyone care to compare, or offer any opinions on how it compares to a RSPdx ? Pros and cons, etc.

c. Anyone have a link to download the full User Manual (I assume there is one) to the unit ?

d. Use SDR Console or SDR# ? Which do you like better; why ?

Any other thoughts would be most appreciated.

Stay well,
Bob

I've had one two months.
a) I have a 4 way switch near the Airspy, an old Alpha Delta I had from years ago. They are pricey now. The separation between the antenna isn't great but better than swapping antennas. There may be some cheaper ones out there.

c) I haven't been able to find one. Nothing is provided with the device. Can't find anything on SDR# either. I guess you have to be an insider. I'm not.

d) SDR# has a lot of powerful tools and is fairly easy to use. But it is incredibly buggy and erratic. Once I learned what parts will always or sometimes crash it I avoid those and get along OK. There is a version with all the plugins farther down the download page.
SDR Console I tried after I was used to SDR#. I couldn't figure it out and wasn't motivated to spend the time.
