hello just wanted to know if anyone has used this product for the nascar races. its from racing electronics its called pole position its used to amplify the scanner for track noise. item #pp-1pkg its only 20 bucks. looking to see if this really works or is it no good, i go to the races and thought this would be a good product to help with the noise so you can hear the drivers bettewr. i sit fairly close so i do have more noise. any comments about this product, if this really works or not, thanks in advance.

I have one and it does work fairly well. It is basically an anplifier. It is great if you are using more than 1 headset. You may have to adjust the volume on your scanner down a little so that it does not overload your headset. I would not use it with a little earbud but with full headsets. It is worth the price if you do go to alot of races.

Definitely use FULL headsets! Ear buds are good if you are in the press boxes. I've used my Pro-96 at Atlanta with a $25 set of Radio Shack headphones and it works great.

I've used the $30 splitter on the site above with great success. And if anyone's scanner batteries die out, which seems to happen a lot, they can just plug into yours with this too.
