I was checking the antenna forums I wonder if a better antenna than the stock one would make a difference on the uniden

Are you trying to specifically monitor this system & anything else? What area are you located? Realistically if you are in the city or close the stock antenna is just fine.

The Fort Lauderdale system is highly directional into the city and has to reduce its ERP to the northwest and southeast due to adjacent frequencies used by other agencies. YYMV when 3 or more miles away from the city limits using a portable scanner with a standard antenna, especially indoors.

Margate is on the county system and Coral Springs has a healthy footprint into Margate, so you should have no issues listening to either.

What this guy said. Because he knows what he's talking about.

Be sure to enter the Coral Springs/Plantation/Fort Lauderdale as 3 separate systems. The RR database has it listed as one system. I've had great success listening to all 3 at home and on the road.

If you want to scan all of the talkgroups on the Broward County system, while scanning, press the scroll knob and then E to switch to ID Search. Do the same to return to ID Scan. I would suggest trying the Wide Invert filter on the Broward County sites. I have often had good results using that filter on 700 MHz frequencies.
