Don't know what happened, who does when it comes to Columbus. But, 8EMS, 8DELTA, and 8F&P are now running on the Public Service system. 8EMS is now COLS EMS, not sure what the other two are now on. Also, 10-Fire is now simulcast on 20-fire which is "COLS FIRE" on the Pubic Service group. If anyone else has any info to clarify what I have posted, I'd appreciate it.

Well apparantly the hospital encoders are down. So, all coding patients call the 8 EMS backup channel for them to notify the hospital and the rest just show up at the door.

I'm listening to FCCA in failsoft right now, and I have a quick question. What are hospital encoders? (which they just said are out of service)

Effective at about 9:00 PM tonight, the FCCA system resumed normal operations and is not in failsoft. To tell you the truth, I like the failsoft system more than the normal system. The audio quality is a whole lot better! :D

Well its 9:30 and MEC is still dispatching on backup talkgroup, and using backup fireground and EMS channels. I think something else broke. :)

And AFAIK the encoders allow the hospitals to use their in house radio system to send/recieve on the FCCA trunked system. Correct me if I'm wrong. :D
