Franklin county programming

What is the best to program franklin simulcast or Franklin Mount quirak if anyone can give me some advice please

Mt Quirak is weak signal in the Chambersburg area. The simulcast signal is a lot stronger, but doesn't play nice with radios not designed for simulcast. I used to live in Chambersburg, and got pretty good decode from Mt Quirak with the 436 and 536 using an outdoor antenna, but got nothing but poor results from the simulcast site. When I got the SDS100, I could monitor either just fine with it.

+1 for the SDS scanner. Another option would be a Unication pager, which works well on this system. If you want to monitor multiple systems at the same time, I'd go with the scanner. If you only want to monitor the Franklin County system, you could use either. Both are about the same price and, side by side, a Unication G5 and an SDS 200 seem to perform equally well.

Ok. Just asking because I can't seem to get the old PRO96's to work for Franklin Co.

I have tried everything I can think of to program my PRO96 and cannot get it to receive. markandjere, if you get the 96 working please let me know. thanks
