Folks,

I'm relatively new to scanning and scanning software. I'm trying to program a Uniden BCD325P2 with Los Angeles County emergency frequencies via FreeSCAN. Whenever I upload the LAPD frequencies, I receive the following error (and the scanner has nothing to scan):

Caution: Possible issue sending bandplan
Unable to set WX

Can anybody help?

Thanks,
Tim

Those are common error messages that FreeSCAN generates the first time or two a new programming file is written to the scanner.

The bandplan message would have zero relevance to a set of conventional channels LAPD. That would be generated if you have one or more trunked systems in the file. but if the trunked systems are P25, then the message means zilch.

You also get the "WX" error on a new file, regardless of whether you programmed S.A.M.E. FIPS codes or not. I would ignore it.

The 'nothing to scan' message is a different matter. The best way to help you troubleshoot that is to post your programming file, as doc has already suggested. Also see this Wiki page:
