Is there a way to quickly change all the downloads from this site so all alpha tags for systems are in capital letters using the latest version of Freescan?

Seems most everything in the database here is in lower case. It looks awful and most of the tags need editing to fit within the screen limits.

Whistler has a nice tool in their software to capitalize all characters in a list.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Sorry, I don't know much about the software systems, but when I program my 436HP I use the actual radio alpha tags instead of the channel description, and for the same reasons you gave in your post. So instead of 59101 being "Fire Dispatch" I have it labeled "FD84DISP" and instead of "Marietta Police Department - Dispatch" I set it to "MARIETTA PD 1" and so on.

Right. Lots of re-typing alpha tags I guess.

Proscan will do it for that radio. There is a 30 day trial so you can download it and cap everything free if you choose not to use it further. But I bet you will like it enough to buy it anyway. It will also center all tags within seconds.
