Hello, once again I will start off by apolojizing for my ignorance.

I am monitoring a frequency (451.662) at the young and dundas area. There seems to be some sort of security, or cop chatter on it, a lot of ten codes, alpha codes, etc. There is also some sort of confrence group or hotel also.

I made the mistake of getting a cheepo scanner that you can only plug dcs tones into, it won't scan for them.

Can anyone help a poor bugger out and help me find these two tones?

Thanks.

I'm here a lot
Given the location of Yonge & Dundas,
The hotel is most likely the Marriot @ the Eaton Centre.
The security may be Ryerson University.

Wish I could help you with tones, my HH scanner doesn't have that option :(

I know Ryerson uses that frequency very very often in that area. You didn't say that you radios can do CTCSS tones. If you can plug in 141.3 and see if that is what you are hearing. None the less I am 99% sure you are hearing them.

462.9750 I'm pretty sure is Rye-Hi's security. I know they have a few other frequencys as well. But like the other posts say, could be anyother building in the area.

With Ryerson, just listen to it, they call their buildings 900-45 or 900-31 (each building on the property is given the 900-XX where XX is a number designated to a specific building).. if you hear those numbers, then its the Ryerson Security channel ;) Their officers are dispatched by their badge number (eppealutte) all badges start in the 100's and do not surpas 199. Hope that helps a little.

Actually the 451.6625 PL 141.3 is the security freq at Ryerson.
