Yaesu: FT-710 - I want to use a ThinkPad T530/Ubuntu 22.04 to view the radio's digital video display

I expect it to arrive tomorrow, and so I want to set it up right the first time. Instead of using a monitor sitting on the radio to display the digital video display, I want to use my laptop. I went to Yaesu's website, but I couldn't even find the CAT Control software download, nevermind information as to whether it would run on Linux!

So, has anyone here attempted doing this in Linux? If so, how'd you do it?

TIA

Thank you for pointing that out to me, I guess I must have missed that somehow. (I'm always missing things... somehow...)

Guess I'll just poke around the Linux space and see if anyone's come up with something that might work. Otherwise, I'll just stick to the radio's display, which really isn't that big of a deal.

Looks like there's plenty of stuff out there to play with, so I think I'll just get to know this beast first, and then I'll look into possibly running it from the laptop, or at least getting the laptop to display what's on the small screen.

Thanks again!
