Yaesu: FT-991A and Direwolf

Last April there was a thread about this that was closed but I didn't see a resolution to the problem reported by Smasher_1970. Trying to get Ft-991A running PinPoint APRS using the Direwolf soundcard modem software. I am having the exact problem report in to old thread and need help. I can get Direwolf to PTT the rig through the USB port but no modulation. If I use a PTT interface through the RTTY/DATA port transmit audio is good. I'd rather not have to use the RTTY/Data port. Any solutions out there?

Check direwolf config to make sure audio device is correct.

Check the application port assignment, I cant remember what it should be, either 8100 or 8001. If it is 8100, change to 8001, and vice versa.

Audio device is correct and port is correct. I don't think this is a Direwolf issue I think it's the FT-991A. I'm also seeing the same issue using UZ7HO soundcard modem

How many audio inputs does the Yaesu have? 3? Regular packet, mic, and USB? Check menu items to make sure it is pointed at the USB audio device.

Menu item 077 FM PKT PORT SELECT is my guess
