When on a long trip, it’s been suggested using GPS with the full database and selecting only the service types interested in. But no matter what I use for a range setting I get states I don’t need. My “long trip” example starts in central Ct. and goes south to Virginia. Setting the range at 10 miles (or even less) gets me Ma., RI., NY…
Is there a way to further limit what the SDS200 gathers to dump into the scanner for the trip? Even with the range severely limited, I get the scanner scanning agencies in states outside of Ct. Does the scanner show these agencies while scanning but ignore them? If so, why? My impression is if the scanner shows them, it is in fact scanning them.
